Relish your winters with this lip smacking hot halwa which can be prepared in approximately 30 minutes.
Gajar ka halwa is a popular sweet made in Pakistan during winters. It is served on festivals like Eid or family dinners as a perfect dessert.

Gajar Ka halwa
Yields1 Serving
 1 kg Carrots
 ¼ cup Ghee or Clarified Butter
 2 cups Milk
 ¾ cup Sugar
 ½ cup khoya
 ¼ tsp Cardamom powder

- Firstly peel the skin of carrot and grate finely.

- In a large pot, add grated carrots and cook till the water dries. Now pour milk in it and cook this mixture on a low to medium flame. After some minutes, the milk will begin to froth first and then start reducing slowly and slowly.

- Keep on stirring this halwa mixture often. Keep scraping the sides of the pot to remove the evaporated milk solids.

- Cook the carrot and milk mixture until the milk is reduced by 75%

- Once the milk thickens completely, add sugar.

- Mix well and cook until the sugar dissolves and thickens.

- Cook until the halwa thickens and ghee releases from sides.

- Now turn off the flame and add khoya, cardamom powder and fried nuts.
mix well making sure everything is well combined.

- Finally, enjoy gajar ka halwa chilled or warm
